i never had a lot of experience and overlap with the practice of the muslimic religion. for example i have attended christian worship but never experienced a friday prayer. i was curious - is it so different from what i knew? so i walked in a mosque and asked to speak with the imam. when i met him i was impressed by the calm charisma, understanding and kindness of this man.
he allowed me to have a lunch with him and the other muslims and afterwards, he attended me to join a friday prayer with my camera. this was not that self-evident as i am a woman- usually muslims are separated by gender during prayers. but in this mosque during friday prayers women are allowed to pray in the main room in a back row of the room if they want so. men are standing and sitting behind the imam in the front.
